At the beginning of October, we were back at Kilmahew for more pathwork. As per previous posts, the paths through the woods have not been maintained for many years, and are knee-deep in mud and leaf mould. We’re gradually clearing them, but it’s tough going!
Thanks to lots of hard work by our small but energetic team, the path under the fantastic rhododendron tunnel is now cleared. I know we are usually bashing rhoddies wherever we find them, but this is an almost architectural relic of the original Victorian estate and is really worth keeping.
Meanwhile, the rest of the team were working on a plastic bottle green house at a Glasgow primary school, of which more later.
