I’ve had the pleasure of working with the BTCV Fife crew for a couple of months now, and consequently have seen some terrific work done. But that day, that fateful day on the 23rd of February I witnessed something incredible, nay magical. The wind howled as the dark and glorious Cumulonimbus thundered over head and lashed down the scores of rain in a manner that would make even the bravest rangers think twice. Fortunately these homeboys are Fifers; business as usual.
Expert carpenter, ladykiller and dreamboat Bruce Banner (formally known as Douglas) was cracking out planters at a rate of knots. Wingmen Mike and Richard kept the big man supplied with measured and marked timber. Working as a unit; these boys bashed out beautiful boxes for bulbs before the break.
Susan’s superior shovelling skills along side Rab’s radical construction work meant the team were able to whip up a grass wall that would have brought a tear to Hadreins eye. Stretching as far as the eye can see (at night) the wall was an incredible feat of engineering. Given a few months it should produce some lovely soil.
It was an all round fantastic day, everyone worked their socks off as per usual. Well done guys.
Thank you for everything.
