The midweek group were out yesterday at the Rhododendrons again. We must be all be dreaming of them by now! Any thought that we had moved to a less boggy spot was soon removed from our minds as the wellies were being eaten up again! At least the volunteers (or in most cases one of our VO’s) are getting plenty practice balancing or hopping on one leg to keep their socks clean while someone rescues the wellie!
It’s not all work and more work with this lot though – imagine that, sitting down when all that rhodie behind needs to be cut down!! This lot deserve plenty tea and biscuits for all their hard work, and a wee cup of tea/coffee/hot squash always revives the spirits.
Volunteer Aaron has also been taking lots of photos for us during the midweek days, and he definitely has eye for capturing our activities and the nature surrounding us.
In our last post we mentioned Mrs Toad, well yesterday we had to move Mr Frog over to a safer spot! It’s always a lovely distraction from the task at hand to find or spot some wildlife.
