This week you will be able to see us on the telly! (maybe). Beechgrove Garden will be showing on Wednesday 9th September, at 7.00pm on BBC 2.
It was our last day at Colinton Primary School on Tuesday, and an exciting day it was too. The Beechgrove Garden was doing their filming and so we spent a of time waiting for the film crew to get ready before we could move our wheelbarrows. The squeaky one wasn’t very popular! We also got to watch the army parachute display team do a jump, and we had the opportunity to meet lots of other groups who had also been volunteering on the site.
Wednesday we were up Corstorphine Hill, in the walled garden. There were only 6 of us out so there was lots of hard work to go around moving compost and weeding out the rampaging buttercups. We also got to meet a doctor of botany, who gave us lots of interesting information about the plantlife including which ones could be used to ease our aching limbs..
Thursday we were back at Corstorphine Hill, doing almost the same as wednesday except the doctor of botany was replaced by lots and lots of rain.
All in all it was an interesting week, with lots of new information learned and potential new TV stars in the making!
