This month we are encouraging our staff and volunteers to get involved in the Bat Conservation Trust’s, ‘Big Bat Map’ project.
Bat numbers in the UK have declined dramatically over the last century. It’s vital that we monitor how bat populations are faring so by sharing your bat sightings to the Big Bat Map, we can get a better understanding of their abundance and distribution.
See the Bat Conservation Trust website for more information. You can view the map, submit your sightings and get more information on bats: where they live, what they eat, and how you can encourage them with bat-friendly gardening and bat boxes.
Also take a look at our website for loads of other great ways to get involved with Citizen Science.
