After 10 brilliant months as an apprendtice I will be moving on to a new job with BTCV in Dorset. I have learnt so much this year and met so many wonderful people. The Natural Communities programme has been incredibly successful, giving me the skills, experience and confidence necessary to succeed in a career in conservation.
The last few weeks with my provider were as busy as ever, this culiminated in putting up an interpretation panel for Butterfly Conservation Scotland’s reserve at Wester Moss, along with making a display for Fallin community centre to inform local people about the nature reserve. My final task, with help from John Mcfarlane and Paul McDonald, was putting up my giant willow frame butterfly on the reserve to raise the profile of the site.
I would like to thank everyone that has helped me whilst I was in Stirling, I am incredibly grateful for all the guidance you have given, without your help I wouldn’t be starting a new job!
