Trees!

January 5, 2015 by alisondiver

I have been busy planting trees with schools and community groups recently during and following National Tree Week (23rd November – 1st December) which is an annual festival to mark the start of the tree planting season, and a nationwide celebration of trees and woods (more info at: http://www.treecouncil.org.uk/Take-Part/national-tree-week)

Between January 2000 – April 2013 Carrickfergus Borough Council planted 165,000 trees

Since April 2014, with the help of schools and community groups, we have planted another 1000+

Also managed to squeeze in some more hedgelaying!
