It has been a brilliant season for events let me tell you. Now that there is a small lull in calendar I can pay attention to my blog. June has been a fantastic month for engaging with the Cumbernauld community, both in Cumbernauld and out at larger events such as Gardening Scotland held at the Royal Highland Showground, Ingleston. I have had such interesting conversations about Cumbernauld from people who once stayed in Cumbernauld to visitors from Germany and America asking about the wildlflower seed bombs and where they would be planted and why. Needless to say they were very impressed with what we are doing and wish us all well 🙂
Great to see so many people getting out and about enjoying the parks and reserves and learning what Cumbernauld has to offer. We have a few gala days to come so if you are brave enough to guess a habitat in our magical feely boxes, make a seed bomb or learn about the animals you can find in our woodlands then come along.
July is thankfully a quieter month, a time to recoup and look towards my project, looking forward to it. I would also like to say a huge congratulations to the students of New College Lanarkshire (Cumbernauld campus) on gaining their John Muir Discover awards, a lot of hard work has been going on behind the scenes and they will be working towards the Explore award in the Autumn. Until the next blog take care 🙂
