So proud in the garden today! Our wee apple tree got it’s first apple last year and this year has a whopping 14!
The other fruit tree has never had any fruit…up until now and is proudly sporting 3 green apples!
The redcurrants are out too – is this enough to make jam?! Even a wee jar you might get with toast in an airport, hotel or on a ferry? Answers on a postcard please
Someone else was wondering the same thing:
Bees were also busying themselves laden down with pollen from our large comfrey patch. It was too hot a day to be carrying all that about with them; I hope they had a rest after lunch.
So hot in the garden that we decided to make a start on some signage for the garden to help point out to people what they’re looking at. You had to be quick though as the sun liked to dry up all the paint before we’d finished using it… Gang managed to paint some menacing looking eyes and left them strategically around the garden in the hope it fends off some antisocial behaviour. Studies have shown that if people feel they’re being watched they are less likely to indulge in such behaviour. Worth a try…Big Brother is watching you…
On a final note, Jen Johnston, of West Lothian on the Move, left her position for greener Belgian pastures last week. Jen has supported the Green Gym in West Lothian since the very beginning and will be missed. Thank you Jen for everything and Good Luck, or Bon Chance, with your new big adventure. As a parting shot, Jen took this fine photo of the gang in the garden.
