It’s been a while since I’ve worked up in Dawsholm Park and it was a great day to be back and planting wildflowers near the pond we created with Froglife last year.
The Midweek Group out on the 28th May are nothing short of expert wildflower planters and we managed to put in about 800 in what seemed no time at all. We had a variety of plants from the Council’s Daldowie nursery including ox-eye daisy, red campion, ramsom and vetch.
The expert planters in action
The fenced-off pond is looking lush and well-established and we spotted about 5 Palmate Newts pottering about in the water.
Newt Central!
We finished off with a wander through the woods in Dawsholm – a great place for a leisurely walk.
