On Thursday we were in the Vat Run by Queensferry. Here we were working in the reasonably new mountain bike path. We started the day cutting up fallen trees and using them to create neat habitat piles, these can be used by many invertebrates as well as some small mammals that will eat the invertebrates. This was also mixed in with some tree felling and general path maintenance.
Luckily we managed to avoid the rain all day which made the whole day much more pleasant. And to round off the day we even managed to squeeze in time to plant a few shoots.
