Last week our midweek group were working hard at the Hermitage of Braid with lots of diiferent jobs. Firstly by the lottery funded garden the old information board had to be dug out and a new one placed in cement which took a lot of effort and hard work from our volunteers but looks great now. At the top of the garden our volunteers used a few heavy sleepers to redo the edging and help with the drainage. Finally the rest of the volunteers set up a new bench in the grounds outside the Rangers headquarters.
Then at the very end of the day with a few minutes left the group planted some seedlings to create a future hedge which should look good in time.
Despite the amount of work to do we managed everything well and everyone enjoyed themselves.
