Last week Wednesday’s group went out to the Water of Leith to clear the autumnal debris and make the public footpath more accessible. The path beside the section of river behind Donaldson’s had been covered by leaves and the volunteers set to clearing the path, while leaving space for the many dog walkers, cyclers and runners that came their way! We were surprised how busy the path was, and feel confident that our work has made a real difference to the many people who use it on a daily basis.
We will be returning this week to continue our work, clearing drains, maintaining a ditch and sweeping the steps.
