We went to Dawsholm Park today for some wildflower planting. We got there eventually after getting a little lost going to pick up the plants from Bellahouston Park.
It was my first time at Dawlsholm Park and I was surprised how big and nice a park it was.
So our main task was to plant some woodland plants including wild strawberries wood sage, hedge woundwort and red campion which was made easy by nice soft ground some of the volunteers even said they found it relaxing!
In the afternoon we had completed our main task so we decided to do a combination of a litter pick and also a survey to record things that are in the park as a relaxing end to the day.
All the volunteers seemed to enjoy themselves going by the feedback we got from them so that’s possibly the most important thing.
