Lots of progress since I last ‘reported’ from the garden.
The outdoor classroom has been completed by Glasgow Wood Recycling and what a fine structure it is!
We had a beautiful sunny day (some brave souls down to t-shirts!) so we made the most of the weather.
A few jobs to do, lining the planters ready for the soil:
Work began on building the bespoke, rustic gate for the front of the garden, Ian and Eddie were very pleased with their efforts.
All the living willow fences are bursting into life!
While we were working yesterday several classes of the nursery came out to the garden and played on the turf animals and sat in the storytelling area, the volunteers and I love to see something we’ve created getting used, it makes it all the more worthwhile!
A few more sessions and we’ll be done at the garden, grand opening is now planned for mid June, I think we’ll all be sad when things are finished, it’s been a fantastic and thoroughly enjoyable project.
