Tadaaa indeed!
We finally finished digging out the labyrinth – the last loop was the longest and drove us most loopy!
Great day of sunshine to mark the occasion, all we need to do now is fill it….but we might take a week off from it so there’s no love lost! The garden has run away with us a bit this year and the weather has caused many of the vegetables to bolt in such wet conditions. We managed to secure a CSV Action Earth grant of £250 so that will be put towards more bulbs and seeds to plant up in between the pathways of the maze and buy some of the surfacing materials as well. Thanks Action Earth! We hopefully plan to get the sensory area organised but it has become very waterlogged so our plans may have to change slightly but we almost have a plant list now, slowly but surely progress is being made.
James gave it a test run just to make sure it worked:
We have tentative plans to make an enormous mega bug hotel akin to something you’d find in Las Vegas (without all the light pollution and fountains of course) from all the turf we dug out, in the style of the Tellytubby mound…I did say tentative…It will hopefully serve some of our furrier friends as well, such as mice and hedgehogs too.
I have friends flying from Edinburgh next month, I must ask them to look out the window to see if they can see Livingston’s very own labyrinth…
