Rhododendron Bashing – 3rd February 2012
Last Friday the Midweek group were back out at the River Orrin tackling more Rhododendron. We were in a dried out section of the river that looked to have been cut off, which meant that we were working amongst many rocks and boulders of various colours and textures. This was hugely exciting to VO Gillian who has some strange interests it appears! We are assured she did manage to bash some rhodies amongst her rock awing and photo taking!
The River Orrin was also iced over in places and looked stunning in the sunlight. The ice formed some amazing patterns and shapes, and just added to the beauty of the River itself and the surroundings.
We also handed the camera over to Aaron, one of our regular volunteers, to take some photographs. It’s always good to get someone else’s perspective of an area, and indeed the activity. He took some cracking photos of both the volunteers and our surroundings
You can find more of Aaron’s photos over at our new flickr page under the tag Photos by Aaron. You can also have a nosey at some further photographs of our Midweek and Green Gym activities on our Flickr photostream.
