The group were happy to hear we were headed to the picturesque Craigencalt Ecology Centre. It was a crisp sunny day but the frost did not dampen our spirits. The task at hand was raking a wild flower meadow that had overgrown and had recently been cut. The group started with four large wooden rakes, however they ended the day with only three in tack, thanks David!
Mike, Douglas and Rab were racing up the hill with the full barrows to Keir who emptied them. The rest of the team combed that big, beautiful, grassy, mammoth field until they were red in the face. Poor Grant was left to wrestle with the encroaching brambles while Cate and Susan raced ahead. After lunch and a trip to the stunning view point, a small group split off to do some path clearing in very scenic area full of snow drops. The majority finished off the meadow just before the rain started, perfect timing. A fun day was had by all.
