On a beautiful Monday afternoon our group set off with the ladies from BTCV. Our aim was to clean part of the wild weeds of the River Conon.
It was a very hot and being next to the river made it even hotter, but we did a worth while project. We all worked at our own pace, kitted out with protective gloves and strong clothing. The setting was lovely and this is the first time I’ve done this and it won’t be the last. Our team leaders were fantastic – I’m sure they must have been bored with the questions we were asking them, but I felt secure they were there. Nature is beautiful and must be appreciated, the wildlife we saw was really good and this was only a few miles from a very busy main road. These people do a fantastic job to protect our beautiful countryside and must be appreciated – keep up the good work with the help of us all.
