Today was the last day tackling the Giant Hogweed for Cromarty Fisheries Project on a site near Milton. A combination of brute force severing tap roots and selective spraying with glycosate should knock out three generations of plants this year.
It was a sweltering day today – I am told this is not usual up here – being an East Midlands lass.
We also managed to rescue the odd frog and toad – putting them in a part of the burn that didn’t have hogweed.
