Well another year over a new one just begun ….oh there’s a song in there somewhere!!
I just thought I would highlight some of our exploits from last year in Fife. Many thanks to all the volunteers who worked so hard and helped achieve many many wonderful projects around schools and in other places. We couldnt do it without you!!!
Thanks to the VOs – Tony, Angela and Fiona and recently Sandy who is our new Future Job fund placementee (is that a real word?**!)
We have had a great year – working on restoring blown out sand dunes, bashing rhoddies to a pulp (well throwing them on the fire at least), creating a community allotment in Dunfermline. We worked alongside the Ranger service in Fife at Lochore meadows and Middleden woods – most recently creating some mountain bike trails and now onto a more traditional craft of coppicing in the lochore woodlands.
We cleared a woodland site in North East fife on Cambo estate and are about to embark on a new green gym project on the site as a consequence.
We’ve driven five million billion miles – who said Fife was small? but have kept smiling all the way.
We even made soup from our green gym allotment in Glenrothes!
Here is a wee reminder of some of the best bits – many more to come this year!! Keep up the good work Fife volunteers!!
Kath 🙂
