Welli well, once again it was time to head out west and go forth to conquer the
dreaded Rhododendrons. Today we where working along the path that runs next
to the Driving Range, where the remit was to clear back from path, but leave a
fence line of Rhodie to keep a small hedge line.
This was to prevent dogs from entering farmer’s field, but also to maintain a green corridor between Car-Park and Woodland.
All was going well and then “AARGH”, one of the volunteers had a minor accident
with a Bow-Saw. Enter Rachel (1st Aider at hand), were all was soon sorted and with no loss of body parts or stitches needed.
After lunch it was onward an upward and the volunteers managed to get through
a vast amount of Rhodi, making the path look bigger and better than before.
Soon the time to leave was upon us, but return we shall for more of the same next
week.
