Well, it was back to Polkemmet today and the weather was fan-dabby-dozzy, having signed in at reception, we headed to the over-spill car-park area.
The task for today was more Beech and Sycamore cutting along with some Rhoddies if they crossed our path. Having gathered the troops to explain this along with the tool safety talk, they were soon of cutting and pruning. There was less Beech and Sycamore in the area, however there was more than enough for today.
Lunch was soon upon us and having enjoyed our snacks we had a play with David’s Frisbee he brought. I don’t think any of us did ourselves proud, I think the cry was USELESS!
So it was back to what we do best and having completed cutting what was there we set about tidying the habitat piles and raising the canopy a little within the woodland. The weather was starting to close in a bit, and as time was close to 3pm we called it a day and packed up tools signed out and headed back to Edinburgh.
