Tuesday 1st & Wednesday 2nd June saw the midweek group helping the Countryside Rangers construct a path to give better access to the canal. First job, on a wet and cold day was to dig out the route of the path, a depth of 10cm was the aim.
On a much sunnier Wednesday we had to move approx 4 tonnes of type one onto the path! This involved the use of 3 wheelbarrows, 6 shovels and plenty of elbow grease. Moving all the material took us all day but the finished result was worth all the effort.
