Well so far it has almost been “different week, different site”, and that definetly stands today as we had our first visit to the Drummore School in Drumchapel. Which is very near one of our other sites, the Bluebell woods.
As for every other new site we visit, they always seem daunting which they can be, especially when you arrive on site and have no idea how the site will turn out. But we definetly didn’t let that stop us, so tools in hand we dived onto the site quickly, always living in fear of all the “questions” from the school children. I myself have a baby boy and that is one thing i am dreading, “why dad?”, “whats that dad?” “why? why? why?”. oh dear.
Anyway less of my blabbering and down to details. It was definetly a good day for us all as we got quite a bit of work done on one of the sections, clearing all the overgrown bushes and dead leaves out. Which took up all the time for this session. But this will allow us to get a much better idea of what is to be done next, which I hope is going to be turning over of the bedded sections.
Lastly let me say a big THANK YOU (if that is big enough), to all the people who turned out today. Also to say thanks to Fen and Biao for last weeks hard work at Essenside Church, they both recieved a Green Gym T-Shirt. So hopefully they will wear them wherever they go. Sorry for no photo of this event, maybe it didn’t happen, only the people that turn up will know this 😀
Many thanks again guys.
