Well just an update since our last post, and boy have the volunteers put in a lot of hard work, in various sites around the area. Most notably boden boo, which was not a hard day but it was very very wet and all the volunteers deserve a medal for turning up, what a bunch of heroes, snow everywhere else apart from boden boo 😀
Also the linwood community garden project is coming along very nicely. Still a bit to do though. Trying to build a plastic bottle green house, but we are short of empty bottles so if any of you reading this can lay your hands on some run of the mill 2Litre empty bottles, not the special curvy types then that would be greatly appreciated.
One of our more unusual projects last week, was the creation of a mini Gruffalo forest at one of our local schools. The kids love the book “The Gruffalo” so much, that they wanted to create their very own Gruffalo forest in their school, and we were only too glad to offer a helping hand. With some additional planting and imagination it will provide a good habitat for the local Gruffalo
