Well, work is continuing apace with this project and we are now (as at start of March) getting to the ground preparation stage. The fencing has been finished now with only a few hammer bashed thumbs..a gate has been built and hung, a central and side path has been dug (when the ground was fairly dry), and last week we got into serious turf removal territory!
Then the sleet and rain came … still the volunteers worked through the mud, rain and cold to clear a good portion of the ground in preparation for machinery (hopefully!) to plough the soil.
Tomorrow (Thursday) we’ll be finishing the preparation for the shed which gets delivered on Friday. That involves creating a nice flat square of ground (dug out from a slope). Will report back on how that goes and hopefully post some pictures. Meantime, here are some photos of our progress so far.
