Two weeks ago the mystery bus arrived at River Almond where we continued to restore the handrail on the steps. Like busy bees we swarmed up and down the path crafting fine angles and organic curves with timber, and finished by slurping buckets of cement into the post holes, using ‘Peach’s hi-tech method’ for a firm finish:
“Two screws, bang, bang, bung in a bag of postmix, that’s not going anywhere soon”
Well, quite…workmanship with finesse!
The next day we carried on securing benches at Blackford Pond, with drilling and bolting teams working up momentum in a relay, which RELAY worked well, tee hee…
Fast forward to last week (time travellers should understand the logic) and work at Blackford continued with the replacement of some sleeper steps and the clearance of a large section of path in record time. Rumours that the path scraping crew possessed superhuman powers are rife. Watch this space!

During last week I spent 3 great days obtaining my first aid at work certificate! Moira made it all fun and games whilst somehow managing to instill the knowlage needed to pass and become an active first aider. Many thanks to all at the Stirling BTCV who made us feel welcome and fed us some very nice soup everyday, mmmmmmm, thanks!
