Over the past couple of weeks the West Glasgow Green Gymers have been busy helping local schools. We spent one afternnon at Stonedyke Primary in Drumchapel, where we weeded the wildflower meadow and replanted it with some new plugs for next year. The boys were also hard at work levelling the area where the bird table will go.
Another afternoon was spent at the nearby Cloan Nursery, where we weeded the beds, turned over the soil in the veggie patch for next spring and planted a ridiculous number of plants in the raised beds and in various tubs around the garden, It was a proper 3 hour make over challenge! We did a cracking job even in the constant drizzling rain.
