Hello and thanks for reading the Renfrewshire Green Gym blog. We’ve had a busy week this week and even managed to squeeze in a barbecue! The Tuesday group were hard at work at the Greensyde Centre in Linwood, clearing their garden area ready for cultivation. You can tell they were working hard from the 19 bags that were filled with weeds!
On Wednesday we had a barbecue to mark the end of summer and it was a great success. There were burgers and cakes abound and the sun even managed to shine for us. it was nice seeing some old and new faces getting together and we hope to have just as many volunteers in the autumn.
Today was a rather muddy day at Glenburn Nursery, what’s new I hear you say! We did however manage to lay some paving slabs in the children’s garden and will continue to work on this project in the coming weeks. Sadly not quite reaching 19 on the bag front but not far off!
