We spent Tuesday and Wednesday at Carmunnock, just outside Glasgow, in the snow.
The site is a huge willow plantation owned by Glasgow Council, we were there to cut willow for various projects. The majority of the willow will be going to St Ninians Primary School in Prestwick and to Dailly Primary School.
The frozen ground made our work much easier and we had a good turnout of volunteers, and amazingly no one complained about the cold!
We collected enough willow to fill 2 trailers and two roof racks, but we still may need to make a return journey!
Some of the more “creative” volunteers built the snowman (on skis), photos from the day are in the album in the links section.
