Once again on the chilly side today, only 4 of us brave conservationists battled through the treacherous conditionsto the bus. Back at Pollock wildlife garden, we built a rather fabulous compost bin next to the existing one(ours was better!) out of recycled wood. After a few near misses with the hammer we produced a rather solid construction. We also did a wee spot more work on the paths to increase the access for disabled visitors. The whole day was spent trying to avoid falling over on the shear ice which covered every surface made everything much more entertaining, in particular ali’s rather graceful dismount from the bus. All in all great fun, am now compost bin builder extrodinaire!!
