The Natural Talent apprenticeships for 2008 have just been published and I’m sure you’re all as excited as I am about them. The four placements will last about 18 months each and aim to train up individuals in some aspect of natural science.
The specific apprenticeships are for: bryology (mosses and liverworts), diptera (flies), lichenology (lichens), and mycology (fungi). The application forms should be available from the 14th of July, and for anyone interested there’s also an open day at the Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh on the 26th of July.
Pre-registration for the open day is required so anyone interested should be contacting Stirling to do so. Natural Talent is a great scheme for motivated individuals to get trained pretty much as world experts in their field. Once again, the very best of luck to all candidates.
