Hi guys! And so begins the rhodie culling season. This winter we have 2 sites to tackle – the River Orrin again for the Cromarty Firth Fisheries Trust and a new site at Strathgarve for Fieldwork Scotland.
The first day was at the River Orrin with Dingwall Green Gym. Our Dingwall Green Gymers are experienced when it comes to rhodie removal and our new volunteers don’t take long to learn the ropes.

VO’s Esther and Gillian squashing piles of rhodies!
The guys worked hard to free a huge beech tree from the dreaded rhodies. It is amazing how much light appears with even a small amount removed!
We will be back at these sites regularly over the winter period so expect some more photos of happy rhodie bashers!
Love Gillian & Esther 🙂
