Hi guys!
On Wednesday we were lucky enough to be at Shandwick Beach with lovely weather but not so lovely gorse. We are certain it gets more prickly at each new site we visit!! The purpose of this task was to clear gorse on the SSSI to make room for Mountain Purple Milk Vetch, which flowers a deep purple in June.
This is what the site looked like before…
… and here it is after.
We will be returning next week to finish the job.
We are especially looking forward to this because on both of our tea breaks we were mega lucky to see bottlenose dolphins!!!
We also watched Cormorants diving into the water and a seal. All in all a fab day was had 🙂
Love Esther & Gillian! 🙂
