Mobile phone apps can be a great way to get involved in Citizen Science, so each month we are going to be sharing a new app for you to try. We’ll be promoting it to our volunteer teams and encouraging staff, volunteers and anyone else to give it a go. We’d also love to hear your feedback on these apps so if you do try them, pop along to this simple online form to let us know what you think.
This month’s app is a really great one if you can’t quite be convinced that it is warm enough to get outside yet as it can be done in the warmth of your living room over a cup of tea. Reverse the odds is a downloadable puzzle game that is helping scientists analyse real data on cancers including head and neck, lung and bladder cancer.
This Citizen Science app involves a game in which you will see magnified cell samples of real tumour tissue, and by taking part, you will be answering simple questions about the data, helping scientist to learn more about cancer.
