This Thursday we were back at Polkemmet Country Park doing more vegetation clearance from the central islands in the car park. Progress was hampered by the recent weather turning the car park into an ice rink meaning we were almost gliding around all day, elegantly in some cases, not so much in others. The cleared vegetation was dragged into the woods to create habitat piles for local wildlife, so fingers crossed in a few months time something will have made good use of them. The area is looking much neater now and we also cleared a large amount of litter which had amassed over time including a worrying number of Buckfast bottles.
Thursday was also the day that we took control of our new BTCVmobile (Ford Transit) to replace our old minibus which is being put out to pasture with the BTCV Action Breaks… RIP Mivano.
