Polkemmet Country Park;
A sun shining autumnal Edinburgh Morning as we drove out to Polkemmet Country Park. Met up with the Sterling crew out there and we all got busy working around the pond/Island area. Lots of digging in the water and burning off on the Island. Broke for lunch, sun still shining we sat off around the barby area and played some frisbee; back to the pond & burning off after lunch; good weather and much done the rest of the day.

Corstorphine Hill.
Another sunshine morning greeted our volunteers as we headed across town to Corstorphine Hill to put some steps in and paint entrance railings. Digging, sawing, laying, we managed to get 12 steps layed to the delight of local residents & paint the first coat of the entrance railings.

Donkey Field Orchard
The week of beautiful sunshine in Edinburgh continues; Picking up our volunteers we headed out to the Donkey Field Orchard. Preparation work for putting in the gate required digging 6 deep holes through sometimes solid stone. A lot of hard work went into today. Digging, digging, digging while fences where being made. Others prepared slots for coming trees to be planted; breaking for lunch we carried on afterwards and almost finished the job; back next week to complete the work. A good hard days graft.
