So, back to blogging properly this time after a few setbacks.
We have been having a fun and exciting few weeks mainly pulling up Himalayan Balsam in the pouring rain.
There have been a few more interesting days going to Hopetoun House to make fire (or possibly the point was to cut back the rhododendron), where we also spent our lunchtime playing frizbee on the lawn. We also had lots and lots of fun digging clay (also in the pouring rain) for signposts in parks around Edinburgh. We were particularly pleased to find the foot deep layer of builders’ rubble we had to dig through. We did get a chance to play on the play park though in Craigmiller Castle Park, and all got our rear ends wet on the slide.
This last week David and Alan got a chance to lead the group on their own at Corstorphine Hill where they removed even more Himalayan Balsam and did some fencing, whilst Victoria and Ianire went off to Stirling to learn leadership, so now we are all go on the leadership front which Chris is very pleased about.
