Our Watford Green Gym volunteers have been working on the Cassiobury Park Community Project site for the past year, which is being developed as part of the large Heritage Lottery funded Cassiobury Park project.
And, as an additional benefit, this autumn has seen several TCV-run Employee Action Days, helping to create and improve wildlife habitats on the site.
About fifty enthusiastic Camelot Watford staff volunteers donned work boots, gloves and tools (as well as the ubiquitous Fitbit exercise trackers!) and got stuck in.
The team cleared invasive thistles, tried their hand at scything, dug trenches for native hedge tree planting, built a bamboo fence, maintained our wildflower meadows and created a fabulous stag beetle loggery in the shape of a fire work.
Thanks Team Camelot, you did a great job!
