On 30/06/08 and 03/07/08 the Weekday Conservation Team took on a few projects at Priory Country Park. One of which was the reconstruction of a weir.
Above: Duncs is lurking in the background with a drill. Rob, in the yellow t-shirt, is just … well … urm … lurking!! And I (Ed), am using a socket set to tighten up the coach screws.
Above: Duncs (lurking in the front this time!) is drilling more holes for the coach screws. Jane is holding the timber in place whilst Rob and I are working at the far end.
Above: After the sluice is opened again to let in water from the River Great Ouse, the water level gradually creeps up to overflow point!
Above: Even closer, the first few drops are creeping over!
Above: Whooooosh! These photographs were taken on the Monday (30/06/08) task. Since then, modifications have been made and one last photograph will be published at a later date.
