A group of young people from The Princes Trust joined me at Priory Country Park recently to clear paths, birdwatching/fishing platforms and net rides.
Above: The team including (in no particular order) Carlie, Joe, Lizzie, Keith, Reuben, Liam, Lorna, Joseph and Jason.
Above: Along ‘the spit’ we cleared vegetation back so that bird ringers can put nets up to catch birds. This is done under license for scientific purposes. You can find out more about birds caught and ringed at Priory Country Park at http://www.ivelringinggroup.blogspot.com/
The vegetation on the bird watching/fishing platforms were also cleared of overhanging vegetation.
Above: This tree was given a trim!
The Cardington Walk footpath was opened up on an earlier task. For more about activities & wildlife at Priory Country Park visit http://www.priorycountrypark.blogspot.com/
