A brave band of people faced the rain on Saturday 28th April to plant up the raised beds in the Green Man Garden in Kempston. This project is ongoing through the year and will involve regular drop-in gardening sessions as well as workshops throughout the year focusing on specific tasks – like this one on planting.
The garden is a community space and we want everyone to be able to enjoy the things we grow – so we’ve planted a selection of veg, herbs and flowers – most of which were sown at the seed sowing workshop a few weeks ago. We’ll be here throughout the rest of the year to look after the plants and hopefully later in the year we’ll be able to have some sessions which include sampling the produce!
It might not look much yet, but with all this rain they’ll soon grow to fill that planter! Watch this space for progress – or even better, come along to one of our sessions. Contact us for more details of times and dates!
