On Wednesday 19th November, BTCV England Directors (Neil Canham, Sasha Newman, Kate Mackenzie, Kevin Jones, Mark Gibson and Tony Newby) came to Marston Moretaine Sports Field to help with a hedgelaying project. Working as a team and with the Weekday Conservation Team, they helped lay and clear sections of the hedge.

The parish council have asked us to lay this hedge to help make the area safer. When the project is finished, residents will be able to walk along the path and see what is happening on the other side of the hedge. Wildlife will also benefit – for example, in the long term, there will be more nesting opportunities for birds and they will be safer from predators.
