Last morning of Rhododendrons!

March 8, 2012 by TCV Blogs Editor

8 March 2012 Dingwall Green Gym
Today was definitely our last day of rhododendrons – this time with our Dingwall Green Gym. Bruce, Callum and Sean joined VO’s Charlotte, Mairi and Gillian for a good bash at clearing the final rhododendrons in the section the Dingwall Green Gymers have been clearing.

Those rhododendrons were proving to be quite a tangled challenge and were giving us lots of strangely shaped branches, with Sean finding 2 wishbone shaped ones.

We were also pondering all the different types of trees in the area and were loving these massive pine cones!

Today was a lovely chilled morning and the VO’s decided to have a well earned cuppa in The Tea Posy/The Greenhouse, Dingwall before heading home.

The Dingwall Environmental Group are having 2 River Peffery clean up days this month – this Saturday coming, the 10th, and also the 31st March. If you fancy helping out, meet at The Greenhouse at 11am, wearing appropriate clothing etc!
