The recent launch of TCV Scotland’s new Green Gym in Castle Douglas made the pages of the local Galloway Gazette. The feature includes a couple of photos – no not the severe looking leccy engineer but the happier bunch of Green Gym-ers, although they do look suspiciously like a group we know in Paisley! The new Green Gym is based at the Castle Douglas Activity and Resource Centre (ARC) where the volunteers will be involved in a range of conservation and gardening activities. Green Gym Officer Richard Dickens told the Gazette: “The site has bags of potential and volunteers will also benefit from being able to take some of the produce home with them.” Thanks to the Gazette for its coverage, and anyone interested in joining the Green Gym can contact Richard at r.dickens@tcv.org.uk
